Strength under control

Since Jesus declared Himself to be meek, some perceive Him as a sissy-type character. Nothing could be further from the truth. To many, "meekness" suggests the idea of passivity, someone who is easily imposed upon, spinelessness, weakness. In the Greek New Testament, "meek" is from the Greek term praus. It does not suggest weakness; rather, it denotes strength brought under control. The ancient Greeks employed the term to describe a wild horse tamed to the bridle. In the biblical sense, therefore, being meek describes one who has channeled his strengths into the service of God. Males who perceive Jesus to be a sissy, are often the same ones who will not join the French foreign legion to gain mental and physical strength. And lack of restraint (perversion, gluttony, pride, sloth) exposes them to be spirtually weak as well. Self-discipline is a trait that belongs to the strong.

An old school martial artist can be challenged by a thug will not cause excruciating pain for he knows his strength. This is strength under control. It's about making honorable decisions and taking responsibility, bearing the solitude of leadership.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth

Around the throne of God the angels do not cry out "Love Love Love"
They cry out: HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!

Christians are called to be salt, not sugar. Salt preserves, protects, brings truth. Sugar? It just hides the rot.

Wars are not won by mere praying or positive thoughts, sharing quotes, dressing up and throwing fairydust and flower petals. In order to win a war every army needs mighty warriors, men and woman of valor. "Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days." - Joel 2:29.
In this war there are no spectators. Everyone is on one side of the battle or the other.

Make no mistake about this. Learn the rules of engagement now and prepare yourself for the battle ahead. If we are Christians, then we are soldiers. When we forget we are soldiers we stop fighting.

In this battle there must never be, on your part as Christ's soldier, no whining, no complaining, no protesting, and no slacking off. As Baptist deliverance minister Don Dickerman wrote in his book, "When Pigs move In"; God needs an army, not an audience.
Christ unites us all - 1 Corinthians 12:13.

Cross of Calvary

The "Cross of Calvary", later called the "Maltese Cross" represented the principles of charity, loyalty, chivalry, gallantry, generosities to friend and foe, protection of the weak, and dexterity in service.

The eight-pointed cross is a symbol used to denote the eight obligations.

The four arms represent:

I Faith
II Justice
III Temperance
IV Fourtatude

The eight arms represent:

I Live in truth
II Have faith
III Repent of sins
IV Give proof of humility
V Love justice
VI Be merciful
VII Be sincere and whole-hearted
VIII Endure persecution

TAKE PRIDE IN PERSECUTION

2 Cor 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Take Up Your Cross

Matthew 10:38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

If you serve the Lord, you become a target of Satan's envy. Satan will put you into endless and severe testing. Satan's attacks will never cease because you are shaking the foundations of hell.

Romans 12:6-8 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints

From 'The History of the Christian Church' by Henry C. Sheldon, 1895, Boston University: "The women vie with the men in courage, accompany them to the battle-field, meet the fugitives with reproaches, and endeavor to drive them back to the conflict. The men, on their part, entertain a high respect for their women. "They even suppose somewhat of sanctity and prescience to be inherent in the female sex; and therefore neither despise their counsels, nor disregard their responses." In their mutual relations, both are honorably distinguished by the virtue of chastity. Polygamy is practised only by a few, whose alliance is solicited on account of their rank. "The matrimonial bond is strict and severe among them. Men and women alike are unacquainted with clandestine correspondence. Adultery is extremely rare among so numerous a people."

Cure of loneliness

Count up the hours of life, and most of them are passed alone. Besides, there is a moral solitude far greater than physical. Who has not felt the deep solitude of a crowd? The most dangerous, because the most subtle, temptations come to us when we are alone. An unoccupied state is sure to foster what is bad in us, and our lonely hours are generally our most unoccupied ones. It was in a solitude that even our Lord had His fiercest attacks. God needs an army, not an audience

Matthew 23:11 The greatest among you will be your servant.

Physically, Mentally and Spiritually Strong

The enemy likes to hide wolves in sheep's clothing. But our God likes to hide lions inside of lambs.

Moses was at least 80 years old when he received the 10 Commandments.
Since he broke the first stone tablets out of anger (golden calf sight), he had to get back on the mountain to get a second pair. Can you imagine how strong he was!

Jesus was not the effeminate looking man that most images reveal Him as. He was a carpenter and carpenters in those days not only worked with wood, they worked with stones. They had no power tools of course so the wood had to be cut by using hand tools and great physical labor which must have took long, tedious hours to work with. The wood was not like what we see today; two by fours or four by sixes. They worked with large timbers of roughhewn wood. These timbers had to be cut down by hand and they had to be sawed down into workable sections. They had to be debarked and sanded.

And carpenters in those days worked with stone more than they did wooden beams. And these stones were just not simple stepping stones or mortar bricks but more like boulders and these boulders had to be chiseled and cut down to size. Every bit of the carpenters work was extremely labor intensive and so we should realize that Jesus had to have been a big, strong man with great physical strength, yet He kept this strength under control in what is a good description of meekness: Strength under control. So we see that Jesus was a man's man and may have had the body of a heavy construction worker. He must have been an imposing physical specimen. (<well noticed by Jack Wellman)

It's not likely that he had long hair either. It was not common in that era, it would have made him stand out negatively (google this very plausible theory).

Warrior David - a man after God's own heart (1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22)—was surrounded by elite soldiers. Saul's kinsmen from the tribe of Benjamin were masters with the sword, skilled archers, and could sling stones or shoot arrows with either hand.

And think about Jesus: He was no weak man. He must have been strong, robust, and physically powerful. And remember Moses—he was at least 80 years old when he received the Ten Commandments. In anger he shattered the first stone tablets, and then had to climb the mountain again to receive a second set from God. Imagine the strength that took!

Warrior A man after God's own Heart

David (after God's heart: 1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22) had elite soldiers while Saul's kinsmen from Benjamin drew sword and were skillfull bowmen and could shoot arrows and sling stones with either the right or the left hand!

God blesses a skilled army, Judges 20:15-17 'all these were men of war'

From the series Supernatural (was very good serie, the demonology spot on); Dean: I thought angels were supposed to be guardians. Fluffy wings, halos.. Not dicks. Castiel: Read the Bible. Angels are warriors of God. I'm a soldier.Ignorance is bliss means; if one is unaware of an unpleasant fact or situation one cannot be troubled by it. "In the age of information, ignorance is a choice". This quote is attributed to Donny Miller, a Christian spiritual writer.

Saints as executors

1 Sam 17:45 David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied."

We are all fed up!

Now pay attention: 1) on one occasion, during the reign of King David, when the Angel of the Lord is about to destroy Jerusalem, God has to tell it to put his sword away.
2) When Jesus was arrested on the night before the crucifixion, one of the disciples grabbed a sword and sliced off the ear of one of the perpetrators. Jesus told him to put away the sword

Spiritual Warfare

The kingdoms of the world are made up of people and systems in rebellion against God. Remember Satan telling Jesus that if he bowed to him, he would have given "ALL the kingdoms of the world and their glory" (Matt 4:8) to him? John 12:31, 1 John 5:19, 2 Cor 4:4 Satan rules with his own (fallen) angelic ranks (Daniel 1:13 Persia) over the current system of sinful opposition to God.

Eph 6:12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.

Angels being executors

Angels are executors of God's judgment. They were involved in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 19:1, 12-13). God used angels in bringing the plagues on Egypt (Psalm 78:43, 49) and sent the destroying angel (see also Cor 10:10) to execute the firstborn in Egypt (Ex 12:13, 23). Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.

If you are strong and Satan cannot get a hold of you, he will go after people around you hoping it will effect you. So you will always need to be vigilant.
When God gives you a new beginning, it starts with an ending.. He will isolate you!

Before you were born he knew you.
God allowed Peter to fall in the water, thus did not let him drown. God allowed Daniel to be thrown into the lions den, but didn't let him be eaten. God will always get you out of your situation, you just need to have more faith and stop doubting
Jesus won in the desert, Eve lost in paradise. It's not the place. It's the decisions; birds seek shelter in the rain where eagles will soar above those clouds. The devil doesn't care about you serving him, he just wants you to not serve God.

Angels Are ALWAYS Packing Heat

More often than not if an angel shows up to an event in the Bible it is to harm someone. On one occasion, during the reign of King David, when the Angel of the Lord is about to destroy Jerusalem,

God has to tell it to put his sword away.

This is small fry for the Archangels. They lead armies into battle and are in training for the final showdown at Armageddon. The first angel mentioned in the Bible is the (guardian) angel that guards the entrance to the Garden of Eden with a fiery ever- turning sword.Seraphim are large six-winged snakes that fly. Cherubs aren't well-fed babies, they're winged lions. Or have four faces, a wheel of fire with eyes lining the rim - you name it. They didn't traditionally introduce themselves with "Fear not!" for nothing.

And these are the good angels. By the time we get to the New Testament, angels have settled into their roles as messengers and heavenly bouncers. They look like human beings.

Check out these testimonies!

2 Kings 2:23-24 23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. "Get out of here, baldy!" they said. "Get out of here, baldy!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys.

Armor of God

"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil".

Put on the belt of truth (Ephesians 6:14), opposing Satans lies. Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44). Jesus said, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".
The breastplate of righteousness. This righteousness is not made up of the good deeds you do, it is Christ's righteousness. Shoes of the gospel; march wherever our Lord leads. Shield of faith. Helmet of salvation.
Sword of the spirit. The sword of the spirit is the only weapon of offense listed in the armor of God. All the other parts are defensive in nature. God's Word-the Bible-is described as "living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword". Jesus used this weapon when Satan tempted Him in the wilderness. To each of Satan's efforts to lead Him into sin, Jesus replied, "it is written. . . " and proceeded to quote Scripture to destroy Satan's temptations.

Please remember that the Old Testament and New Testament make one and the same Bible.

The Duty to Speak up

Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.

God is a Righteous Judge. In this world the witness that pretends not to have seen a crime may walk away but in the highest court of all, his fate will be the same as of that of the perpetrator.

God Hates Animal Cruelty

The Story Of Balaams Donkey (Numbers 22:21-39)

Balaam set off on a journey to do some sorcery work for Balak, the king of ancient Moab, in exchange for a large sum of money. Even though God had sent a message in a dream not to do the work - which involved spiritually cursing the people whom God had blessed - Baalam let greed take over in his soul and chose to take on the assignment despite God's warning.

As Balaam was riding on his donkey on the way to do the work, God himself showed up in angelic form as the Angel of the Lord. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat it to get it back on the road. Balaam went on to beat his donkey twice more as the donkey moved out of Angel of Lord's way. This is when God spoke up in anger to the animal beating turd.

The animal could see the Angel of the Lord because of his pure soul, the greedy clairvoyant human couldn't

The legionnaire code of honor:

Every legionnaire is your brother in arms, whatever their nationality, race, religion. You always show him the close solidarity that must unite members of the same family.

These same rules are also used in the dojos where logic and togetherness prevail over ego. You keep your political preferences and beliefs outside the dojo. In the dojo we all sweat, we all bleed red blood and we are all there to get better. It is not a house of prayer, not a party office, if you want to distinguish yourself, you show it with strength, speed, flexibility, etc. Not by forcing others to deal with your compulsive ego

Join the army to get the training you won't get anywhere else. And no, not for only for 2-3 years, that's like quitting after your first belt at a martial art. Do not join because you think the politicians have your best interests at heart. For them you are expendable.  Like the little weasel Macron from France.

"It Is the Soldier" written by Mr. Charles M. Province
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

"We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm."

Is every veteran a man of honor? Hell no. You can recognize them by their fruits. Those who whored around and only spent money on possessions were no angels of God but mercs.  Mercs do not save lives but take lives for a paycheck. Here another satanic division, financed by Denmark.

Legionnaire carrying a donkey

In July 1958 the French 13e demi-brigade de Légion étrangère ( 13th Demi-Brigade of the Foreign Legion ) was on duty in Algeria (near Jebel) when they found a foal (a baby donkey) that had been abandoned and was dying of hunger. The soldiers took pity of the animal and decided to take it back with them to their base. He was so weak it had to be carried. He was treated and became the mascot of the regiment under the name "Bambi". (source 1, source 2)

Yes to protect and defend

With all this "gun control" talk, I haven't heard one politician say how they plan to take guns from criminals, just law abiding citizens.

Carrying to defend when needed

And each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me."
